Today, Jacksonville Marines and other residents took the time to pay their respects at a September 11th memorial at the entrance of Camp Johnson. The memorial features a steel beam recovered from the twin towers. Even those who did not lose a loved one that day feel it is still important to remember those lost. Gina Erickson was there when the plane crashed into the pentagon seven years ago. "It doesn't even take today to make me remember that. I think about 9/11 all the time, and I think I'm more passionate about what I've seen. If I could put that vision in everyone else's head, I think everyone would feel differently,” said Erickson. .
