Candidates field questions from Burgaw and Pender County residents

Burgaw and Pender County residents had the chance to meet the candidates Thursday night. The three county commission hopefuls and the two mayoral candidates for Burgaw answered questions from constituents.

Candidates addressed concerns like drainage issues, improving streets and sidewalks, and managing growth, while maintaining Burgaw's small town charm.

June Robbins of Burgaw said, “I came out to get better informed; to see how the candidates can make Burgaw a more progressive area. I think its wonderful that we have such a good crowd tonight because we are eager to do the best that we can for our children and making Burgaw a town that anyone would want to come and live in.”

Burgaw's Chamber of Commerce sponsored the event.
