Canines, chowda, good times at Fat Tony'sPub

Canines and chowder were a dynamic duo this weekend. Fat Tony's Italian Pub and Carolina Canines for service teamed up for the Seventh Annual Chowda Fest Saturday. Each participant got to choose from four different types of chowder: New England, Manhattan, Roasted Poblano Chicken Corn Chowder or Local Down East. “Chowder and canines, uhhh not really related, but on a cool day, warm chowder, friendly dogs, hey it's a great combination, food, people, dogs, fantastic music," said Pat Hairston of Carolina Canines for Service. Proceeds support Carolina Canines, a non-profit corporation that trains dogs for people with physical disabilities.
