A downtown Wilmington business has shut its doors. Cape Fear Book and Supply on Front Street said it can't keep up with prices. The Cape Fear community College off-campus book store was an alternative for students to purchase their textbooks. Students said the store had cheaper prices and offered the most money to buy books back at the end of the semester. Still, it could not compete with the on-campus book store. "They don't accept financial aid at that book store so only students who have to purchase their own books can purchase from that on," described CFCC student Christianne Gallucci. While Cape Fear Books and Supply often had better prices students said the textbooks editions weren't always the latest ones. The store thanks its customers for their support throughout the years and encourages students to now purchase their textbooks online.
