54 teams competed in the Cape Fear Rugby Sevens tournament. The Cape Fear Rugby Club entered a handful of squads, including two 19 and under squads, but the tournament is actually a national tournament with women and international teams competing as well. We met players from Keyna and Fiji. Luke Waikamakama of Fiji said: "this is a great place, so thanks for whoever hosted the tournament, we love it, it's one of the best tournaments all over the south." Northern Virginia won the men's premier championship. That's the elite division of the tournament. They beat the British Army squad in the finals 24-17. Some of the British Army players will be headed to Afghanistan in the near future. That will be serious business. On the flip side, rugby players have a reputation for being rowdy on and off the field. They know how to have a good time.... That was quite evident Sunday afternoon. When the video of Sunday gets posted online you'll see all the fun !
