WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The Carolina Ale House is helping some local peewee football players.
The Coastal Cowboys spent Thursday night at Carolina Ale House celebrating their championship of the Coastal Pop Warner Peewee Tournament.
The Ale House is sponsoring the team to help get them new uniforms and send them to Walt Disney World.
The Cowboys have to win their next few games to make it to the playoffs in Disney. Players say the team is like a family.
"Our team we're like all together as one," said Burke Estes, who is one of the Cowboys. "Like whenever we make a mistake we got each others backs and everything. In practice we hang out and talk. It just makes it more fun at practice and everything."
If the boys make it to the championships in Disney it will cost about $800 per player to get there.

Coastal Pop Warner Cowboys
This PeeWee tackle football team is undefeated in division play. They have a Bowl game this weekend Saturday the 6th at HIGH NOON against a division I team. The Cowboys are a division II team so it should be a bang up match-up. This is a BOWL game and strictly voluntary play in preparation for the playoffs. The cowboys will travel to either Charlotte or Virginia for their first playoff game mid November. Because they were undefeated, they drew a first round bye for the playoffs. They need to win 2 playoff games to go down to Orlando at Disney's Wide World of Sports to play in the Pop Warner Championship game in December. The Cowboys team if successful would be the first team in this area to go this far in national play.
We are hoping for a lot of community support in our endeavor to the National Championship.
