Snakes were spotted at Carolina Beach State Park Saturday, and people were actually happy about it. The park hosted a special education program featuring the slithery creatures. Mike Himchak, a snake enthusiast, travels up and down the east coast every year to educate people about snakes. He says he took and interest in the reptile early on. “I’ve been playing with them since I’ve been four. I've just always been into them. I breed them, I work with quite a few of them, I do some collecting, do a lot of photographing but I’ve just always been into them.” Carolina Beach State Park hosts several education programs each month.
