Exactly WHO is a more qualified person in the INDUSTRY? I mean, who has more experience in the ABC industry???

Congrats, Mr. Dickerson!

Why NOT pick an insurance agent.....with integrity, respect in the community, true leadership abilities, AND who can offer some diversity to the organization. That's why! He has demonstrated his dedication to the citizens in the Wilmington Community through his volunteering and sponsorship of various organizations/programs. Dickerson has maintained connections within the community that will afford him the opportunity to stay abreast of current issues as well as support local businesses. He is a true and demonstrated leader who has a WEALTH of experiences to bring to the ABC organization.

Congrats to Cedric!! He is a good man and deserves it. I am sure he will do an excellent job. I know him from my playing days at LHS in the early 90's. He was an excellent mentor.

There were others who were more qualified with actual experience in the industry. Why pick an insurance agent?

Mr. Dickerson has been a very successful local business owner for over 15 years with a long track record of credibility not only within his industry, but the overall business community. He has been heavily involved with politics, community service and support and understands what it means to be not only profitable, but ethical at the same time! He has been recognized on several occasions for his spirit of giving back to the community through mentoring and volunteer leadership. He also represents an underrepresented yet highly sought after and growing demographic within this county and region as a whole! He is a wonderful husband, father and friend!
I would say that he is more than qualified!

Ever heard of diversity? Thats whats wrong with a lot of things today, everyone has the same simple-minded way of looking at things. He has served on numerous boards and committees, despite the fact he is an insurance agent. He wasn't born into a State Farm office building, but he learned how to sell insurance successfully, so why cant he help a "TROUBLED" ABC board in the same manner? Shallow ppl... smh!

........now I see the why he was appointed!
