CFPUA may be shutting off your water

If you have been running from your water bill, next week your water may stop running. The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority plans to start shutting off water for 3,000 "extremely delinquent" customers on Tuesday. The utility authority sent letters to at-risk customers with bills at least 90 days overdue and owing more than $350. The utility authority plans to shut off water for about 300 customers each week unless they pay their bills. To avoid a shutoff, customers can call customer service to set up a payment plan.

Water Bill

I was told by a rep from CFPUA it doesn't matter if they send a bill or not, we know we owe it so we need to pay it anyway. The last time they did that to me my first bill was 6 months old & I paid in full. That hurt, so I pay every time whether a bill comes or not.

The reason so meny people have not paied there bill on time is the water company is not sending the bills out every month.Check this out for a new story .
