Local Golfer Finishes In Top 20 At Pebble Beach

Dalton Gore, representing the First Tee of Brunswick County, along with his partner, Champions Tour player Jay Haas, shot rounds of 66-68-71 for a three day total of 205 and a tie for 16th place at the Walmart First Tee Open at Pebble Beach.

Dalton was one of only 70 juniors from the whole country who qualified to play in the tournament. Dalton not only had the pleasure of playing three rounds with Jay Haas, he also played his first round with Peter Ueberroth, organizer of the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, Time magazine’s 1984 Man of the Year and Major League Baseball Commissioner from 1984-1989.
