![]() The Wilmington Sea Dawgs are pleased to announce participation in a pre-season matchup against the Hope Trailblazers on Wednesday, December 10th at 6:30 p.m. at the Schwartz Center in downtown Wilmington. In addition, a portion of the concessions proceeds will benefit the Cape Fear Community College’s Athletic Scholarship fund. “I can’t wait to see the guys in action,” said Head Coach Dale Kuhl. ”It will give the coaching staff a chance to work with different lineups so that we are ready to go for the upcoming season.” The Hope Trailblazers are a traveling/exhibition team. They are a part of a non-profit organization called Hope Youth Vision Program. They hope to become a Virginia-based semi-pro team within the next few years. As with all Wilmington Sea Dawgs home games, the Sea Dolls Dancers and “Salty” (team mascot) will be entertaining the crowd. There will also be great fan games with prizes including free season passes for the 2009 season. The players and coaching staff will be available after the game for interviews and photo opportunities. A full media guide will be available later in December. The Wilmington Sea Dawgs will officially start their upcoming season on the road on January 3rd. Their first home game will take place on January 10th.
