Harvey's Wish Come True Captured on Golf Channel

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNC Wilmington women’s golfer T.J. Harvey’s incredible experience with PGA TOUR professional Jim Furyk will be featured this week on the Tour’s weekly highlight show. Harvey’s episode of "INSIDE the PGA TOUR" will premiere on the Golf Channel Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. It will also be re-aired various times throughout the week. A rising sophomore at UNCW, Harvey recently had a chance to play the back nine of the famed TPC Sawgrass with Furyk thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The duo also spent time together before and after the round on the practice range as Harvey and her family were treated to an once-in-a-lifetime experience. A native of Wilmington, Harvey was in an intensive care unit in Chapel Hill eighteen months ago battling Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis, a life-threatening blood disease that affects approximately one in a million young people. Harvey, who also suffers from Crohn’s disease, was able to overcome the illness that causes white blood cells to attack vital organs with aggressive chemotherapy. "INSIDE the PGA TOUR" is a weekly show that features a different PGA Tour player as host each week who guides viewers through an intimate look at life on Tour and back home.
