WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The City of Wilmington plans to remove the scaffolding that surrounds 22 and 24 North Front Street downtown.
The city has notified Ed Peacock, who owns the building, that it will take down the scaffolding tomorrow or Wednesday to finish sidewalk improvements. Peacock has some safety concerns about the scaffolding coming down, as does a city building supervisor.
The building was condemned back in January after the facade pulled away from the front wall and the southside sidewalk started to cave in. Peacock plans to repair the building, but the repairs haven't started yet.

Tear it down
The building is ugly as heck anyway...tear it down and building something that looks decent!
