Clinton, McCain, Obama visit NC

It is the eve of the primary election here in North Carolina. For the first time in long time, our state's delegates could make a big impact on the presidential race. Sen. Hillary Clinton focused her energy today on campaign stops in Greenville and High Point. She talked about the tough mortgage market, and the number of job losses in North Carolina. President Bill Clinton also spent the day campaigning in our state. After a weekend of whirlwind campaigning in Indiana, Sen. Barack Obama returned to the Tar Heel state today. He met with workers in the Research Triangle to talk about the economic challenges they're facing. The senator's wife Michelle also made the rounds Monday, taking part in two events in Fayetteville. Sen. John McCain is locked in as the Republican presidential nominee, so he's been pretty quiet this campaign season. But Monday he did make the trip to our state. McCain was in Charlotte late this afternoon taking part in a Chamber of Commerce town hall meeting. He plans to make a speech at wake forest university tomorrow morning.
