Columbus County loses beloved Aunt Sarah

Columbus County has lost one woman, beloved by many. We first met Aunt Sarah Sledge back in July. At age 93, she was still working at the Ambassador Camp at Lake Waccamaw, which she started back in 1957. Ambassador Camp is a week long Bible study camp that draws kids from across the country. Many of the kids returned to the camp every year just for Aunt Sarah. Her family and friends will remember her Tuesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., at the Ambassador Camp Chapel at Lake Waccamaw.

Aunt Sara

Aunt Sara has touched alot of lives. She will truly be missed. Her legecy will live on.When I first saw her I could tell she was a woman of god.

I was one of the first

I was one of the first campers and Aunt Sara was also my Sunday School teacher and my Youth fellowship leader at church for many years during the late 50s and the 60s. She taught me about the Lord and I learned many scripture verses. She has gone home to Heaven to be with the Lord and I will surely miss her. Thank You Lord, for Aunt Sara!!!
