The start of hunting season means more dogs in the woods, and that could lead to more cases of rabies. Pender County health officials want to help keep your animals safe. A reduced price rabies vaccination clinic takes place tomorrow. The event will be held at the Topsail Humane Society in Hampstead, and is open to any Pender County resident. Vaccinations for dogs and cats are $3 each. Hunting clubs with large packs of dogs can arrange for a house call. For more information, or to set up an appointment, call 910-259-1349.
