WILMINGTON (AP) -- Former NBA great Michael Jordan has donated $100,000 to the Boys and Girls Club in Wilmington.
The organization says the funding will be used to support educational programs, athletics and the organization's general operations.
Jordan, a part-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, grew up in the coastal North Carolina city and his donation will help the more than 800 students served by the club.
