What was the distance from the incident to the furthest school locked down? Was this man The Flash, who could run at supersonic speeds? Perhaps only the nearest school would have been adequate?
The original concept of a school lockdown has grown far beyond its original intention. When there is a danger in the immediate proximity to the school, fine. In the case at hand, I believe that it was overkill.
