Battling breast cancer with writing

One Wilmington woman put pen to paper to write about her battle with breast cancer. Connie Hill wrote "From Lump to Laughter: The Story of Grace." Becoming an author is just one of the many ways Connie's life has changed. Connie is also the founder of the online "From Lump to Laughter Ministry", a group that pulls breast cancer survivors together. As for the book, it chronicles Connie's fight against breast cancer, written through the eyes of her character, Grace. “The book is about more than breast cancer. It's about a transforming journey that starts with the diagnosis,” said Hill. The book is in local bookstores right now. When someone joins the online "From Lump to Laughter" ministry, they receive a gift basket with a bible, a t-shirt, and breast cancer awareness bracelets.
