i may not be the most infomed person in new hanover co, but i do know property taxes are lower on wrightsville beach than on any wilmington city street. i know that what ever tax moneys are collected will be wasted by the most incredibly incompedent group of councile menbers on the planet, let take the new water ATHOURITY for example have you had the pleasure of dealing with them in any capacity? i may not have all the answers but it seams that we depend on the ebb and flow of the tourist dollar rather than a well educated population i am not bashing the beaches i have had the good fortune to live @ beaches up and down the east coast during the last 20+ years the problem is, hard times call for tough decisions and in these times the money could be used better
