I fondly remember the days of free parking too. I used to go to Wrightsville every day after school and every weekend as well. Back then it was free just about everywhere that mattered and that was only 1994. Now I am living in Osaka, Japan where parking is scarce and costs about 200 yen ($2.00) an hour! My wife is from Osaka and whenever we go out she tells me of how it used to be free to park here and there. Looking at it now, I guess things will never be the way they were!
