Another Veteran's Day has passed and the only ones that recognize those who served were veteran's organizations. I have worked for over 40 years and have never worked for an employer who took the trouble to identify any vets who they employed, let alone give them a day off, bought them lunch or even said "thanks". It is a national holiday, especially for most all government offices, including USPS. As usual, the vets worked while most others celebrated. I think that it would be great if every employer would at least attempt to identify any vets in their employ and just say that they appreciate what they did for their country and to help make it possible for the company to exist.
