WWAY NewsChannel 3 is involved in a number of charitable events this holiday season in hopes of making things a bit brighter for families in our area. Letters have been pouring in for NewsChannel 3’s Holiday Miracles. We'll choose a number of families, and make their holiday wishes come true with help from sponsors Chic-fil-a, Blitz Research, Crescent State Bank, and Perry's Emporium. WWAYTV3 has teamed up with 103.7 the Bone and Krispy Kreme to help the Salvation Army re-stock it's food pantry. WWAY will be out at Krispy Kreme at 2822 South College Road all day Tuesday, December 16th. If you give needy families the gift of non-perishable food items, and you'll get a free dozen donuts. For the next few weeks, WWAY NewsChannel 3 will also serve as a drop-off location for two holiday drives. Help send care and comfort packages to U.S. military members deployed overseas. Personal care and gift items are needed for both men and women. You can also give disadvantaged children the gift of a shiny new toy this holiday season through the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Drop off new, unwrapped toys and/or gifts for soldiers at our station at 615 North Front Street in Wilmington, or at the many other drop-off locations around town. For more information on any of these holiday giving events, visit our website
