There is a difference between juris law and natural law. The laws on the books are there and enforced by police and courts but natural law is how the people really feel about the situation/crime. Nelson Mandela was a "criminal" according to the law but the people knew better and one day set him free. Not every criminal is bad. I wish it was that easy for all you universalists that want one rule to apply to everything because heaven forbid you had to use your brain to analyze something and make your own decision on how to proceed with punishment. Protesters are criminals at times arrested just for expressing their opinions in public which is supposed to be a constituional right.
Sorry, criminals aren't always bad.
