In Wilmington a small airplane caused quite a stir around the downtown area Saturday afternoon. A little after 3:15 p.m., it came in extremely low along the river, flying toward the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge. The plane continued on a low flight path, and actually flew below the bridge. Photographer, Mike Bryand was able to take a quick shot of the plane just after it flew under the bridge. Controllers at the Wilmington Tower received calls about the dangerous stunt and would like to report the pilot to the FAA.
