The NC registry gives little information that would be useful to parents. I have young children and there are three offenders in my neighborhood. I am most concerned about those convicted of serious sexual crimes against minors. I am not worried about anyone who got in trouble for dating someone a few years younger. The registry should give detailed information about the offense so parents can make a realistic threat assessment. I hate that I have to assume the worst about my neighbors without knowing the facts.
