ActiveRain is perhaps the most successful social media site for real estate agents, so I too would advise agents to set up accounts there, as well as their very own blog. 80% of people searching for real estate, or a home to buy begins online now, so if you are not there, you will miss out. Years ago in Wilmington as we know, people were streaming to agents, now the reverse is true. As an internet marketer in Wilmington, my best advice to agents is to be assertive, and aggressive on the internet. Get active on social media outlets like ActiveRain, Twitter, FaceBook. Start an advice blog for people relocating to Wilmington, best neighborhoods, best/worst crime areas, start a video library....
