GO THUMP, THUMP, THUMP as criminals throw the other criminals under it to get a sentence reduction. It happens in almost every case. It is called "substantial assistance" and it does absolutely nothing but put the freaks back on the street sooner to start peddling their wares again. Until the government does soemthing to eradicate illegal immigration and gangs in our state, it will not get any better. Illegal immigration, drugs and violent crime go hand in hand and law enforcement must tackle the issue as one instead of individually if they want to make any headway in solving the problem. To go along with it, cities and towns must enact and enforce mandatory curfews for anyone under the age of 18. Maybe so many parents wouldn't be getting calls at 2 a.m. to come to the hospital to identify the bodies of their kids because they were out at midnight kickin it wit dey homies down by the corner store.
