Leland police deliver presents for Three Kings Day

Leland police delivered their final batch of Christmas toys to needy children Tuesday. Officers dropped off nearly 150 toys to St. Mary's Church in Wilmington for Three Kings Day next week. Three Kings Day is when children in Spanish speaking countries receive their Christmas presents. This season, the Leland Police Department collected close to 2,500 toys. This year, the department combined their own operation, Santa Cop, with the larger Toys for Tots charity program. Corporal Robert Earnest said that helped increase donations.
