I am sure this man is well qualified for this job and is a decent human being. At his age he should know just how many homophobic jerks there are out in the world and not tell anyone anything unless asked the direct question. A lot of men are so insecure with their own sexuality that they can not tolerate being around a gay man in any situation. Sad but true.
