Many state programs could be cut without anyone noticing. An example would be the N.C. Commission On Volunteerism And Community Service. This department operates within the Governor's office and does nothing more than look for various statewide organizations to give away millions of tax dollars for worthless programs. This department is staffed by lazy complacent people that are hard to reach, by and large, because they are rarely at work. There are many others that need a hard look.
