Here at WWAY, we are gearing up for our annual Health Hotline with the New Hanover - Pender County Medical Society. On Tuesday, you will have the chance to call in and speak to more than sixty doctors who will be standing by throughout the day at Independence Mall. The calls are anonymous and the doctors are experts in a variety of specialties. Urologist Edward Whitesides has participated for 15 years and said it is a great way for people to ask medical questions. "It just offers a good chance for people to ask questions that they forgot to ask their doctor at their regular visit, or maybe they saw something on TV and wondered whether it applied to them." As we get closer to the event, we will let you know the number to the Health Hotline. There will also be a Health Fair at the same time of the hotline, which will offer free health screenings.
