Day of mourning for Viginia Tech victims

READ MORE:

BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) - Virginia Governor Tim Kaine has declared today a day of mourning and called for a moment of silence at noon to honor the 32 people killed in Monday's massacre at Virginia Tech.

Churches around the country, from the National Cathedral in Washington to California, have scheduled special prayer services and vigils.

Virginia Tech alumni have also declared today a national day to wear the Hokie colors of orange and maroon.

Relatives and former classmates of the killer, Cho Seung-Hui, say he was very painfully shy and didn't speak well and had been picked on. A great aunt went so far as to describe him as "very cold."
