Every community has a tipping point as to the balance of jobs, housing, greenspace/natural resources available. Why is it that we elect people who seek to exploit every square inch of this county like locusts, or alien invaders? If they would only realize that less available building space would increase:
1.)property values due to low supply/high demand,
2.)the salaries of available jobs due to low supply of housing for workers,
3.)the quality of life due to increased greenspace, resurgence of wildlife/fish, reduced crowding, less traffic impact, etc...
We don't need Titan jobs, we don't need landfills in Leland, we don't need to sell our souls and trash this beautiful place and destroy it for our children.
More jobs means more people moving here for perceived "opportunity", more apartment and condo complexes, more building on greenspace, AND more crime, over-impact on strained infrastructure, more taxes to pay for it all, and eventually, it turns into New York City.
