Charlotte man admits to making threatening comments against President Obama

A Charlotte man pleaded guilty in federal court Monday for threatening President Barack Obama. Jerry Blanchard now admits in a conversation at a Waffle House over the summer he not only said he hated Obama with a passion, but that he also threatened that Obama and his wife would never make it to the White House. Blanchard's attorney said Blanchard had no intention of carrying out the threats. Investigators also said Blanchard bought a rifle and was overheard on his cell phone saying, "I'll get a sniper rifle and take care of it myself."
