Despite an economic downtown, development of Wilmington's newest multi-use community is moving forward. Autumn Hall along Eastwood Road put three lots under contract in January, which is more than developers expected. The community's first family is moving into their new home Thursday. Autumn Hall will also include eleven parks, a nature trail, several fitness facilities, and retail stores. Developer, Raiford Trask, is happy to see the interest they have received. "A lot of good people in the city went out on a limb for us and Autumn Hall was just a sheet of paper and it was a little bit scary because it was big and it was serious change to Eastwood Road but now I think the community is really happy with what we're doing." Autumn Hall is expected to have 300 single family homes and 200 multi-family residences. The expected completion date for the entire community is 2010.
