READ MORE:
FAYETTEVILLE -- North Carolina police are looking for a soldier missing since early Tuesday and for the man who used his debit card later that day. Police said 22-year-old Spc. Joseph E. Putnam last was seen at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday at a Bragg Boulevard convenience store in Fayetteville. Police say Putnam's debit card has been used twice since he last was seen. The Fayetteville Observer reported that officers used dogs Thursday morning to search the woods behind the store and called the disappearance suspicious. Police say Putnam is 5-foot-10 and weighs 150 pounds. He has blond hair and blue eyes and is a member of the 4th Brigade Combat Team of the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg. He has tattoos of a cow skull and the words "Cowboy Up" on his left shoulder. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
