All ambulances and fire trucks are "plugged in". That is how they are designed. The fire happened before 6am in the morning and the Southport fire department responded as it was in their area. They were there for a few hours cleaning up. Later that morning (around 9am) the Village staff taped off the area and covered the ambulance.
