Carly and Margaret High are related to Jim and Les High (Father and Son) owner and editor of the newsreporter. Bob High does work for the newspaper, but is not part of the same chain of highs. The Bob High family is from around the Whiteville area and the Jim High family is from around Halsboro. Carly and Margaret's great grandfather was the editor of the News Reporter and their grandfather (Jim) is the current owner and their dad (les) is the editor of the Newsreporter.
