I was a k-9 handler and trainer in New Jersey. I am sorry to say that that dog bite will cost that agency and only benefit the person apprehended. A trained k-9 is to handled in the same way as a firearm. the guy that was bitten is going to get paid big time. It goes back to the training and the handlers use of the k-9. It's a shame because a good arrest will be thrown out the window.
