NHC sheriff’s deputies returned to the former home of Alton Corey Vann as they search for his killer.
Deputies searched the residence of Larry Gonzales, Vann's former roommate.
Gonzales has a criminal record, including drug charges from 2002. According to the search warrant, Gonzales was the beneficiary of a $20,000 life insurance policy Vann purchased weeks before his murder.
Deputies were looking for shot gun shells and a flare gun.
It was the second time deputies searched 222 Brookview Road.
No charges have been filed. The incident is still under investigation.
