If I recall correctly, the Azalea Queen used to be an actress from one of the daily soap operas on network tv. My wife tapes a few during the day, so I can tell you there are several beautiful young women on there that might be familiar to at least one segment of the public. I personally have never heard of our Queen, and that is no offense to her. My daughter has watched her in a small role on Grey's Anatomy and said she did not like her, although I'm sure she was referring to the character. The fact that a Queen was chosen, and again no offense to her, that no one seems to be able to pronounce her name also surprised me.
