Congress is on its Easter break. That means members are spending time in their home districts. Congressman Mike McIntyre spent Tuesday morning in Carolina Shores, near Calabash, holding one-on-one meetings with constituents. They could talk with their representative in Washington about anything; including questions about legislations to problems they need help solving. Shirley Starr came just to meet her congressman. "We sort of on the fringe of everything. We've got Myrtle Beach on one side and Wilmington on the other, and our area is growing faster than what we would like in a lot of areas, but there are still a lot of things we need here for the seniors; especially for the seniors," she said. You can talk with Congressman McIntyre and state legislators Julia Boseman, Dewey Hill, Carolyn Justice, Danny McComas, Bonner Stiller and Sandra Spaulding-Hughes next week. They are scheduled to be at the Third Annual Breakfast with Your Legislators. The free, public event is Monday at 8:00 a.m. at the Burney Center Ballroom at UNCW.
