The Warwick Center was a one-stop shop for new mothers with questions about childcare on Saturday. Seaside Media organized the Choices in Childcare Expo at UNCW. The event showcased area preschools, daycare centers, afterschool and drop-in programs. The expo was designed with busy parents in mind, letting them check out possible childcare options in Wilmington without having to visit all the different places. “We had an education fair and it had a bunch of different private schools, charter schools, independent schools there,” said Erin Hogston of Seaside Media. “And we found that there were a lot of parents asking us about where to go with their children who are at preschool age and under.” Representatives from each of the childcare organizations were on hand to provide information on the facilities, resources, and programs. Parents said they were happy to have all of the organizations in one place for a side-by-side comparison.
