Wasn't Burr in the Senate approving Bush's budgets all these years? I recall that the federal budget deficit grew astronomically under Bush. The Democratic Congress has increased spending this year, and the reason for that is to stimulate the economy. I hope that we can all agree that the economy needs to be stimulated to help the nation recover from the current recession. As for taxing - the only tax increase from the Democrats is an increase of 36 - 39 % for people who make more than $250,000. Everyone else is getting a tax decrease. So I'm thinking that I'd rather have a Democrat representing me in the Senate than Burr...
