There have been people who were millionaires when this recession began who are bankrupt now.
Do you know these people personally and know that they could not afford these horses when they got them? I doubt it. If you were as informed as you believe you are, then you would know that there are well respected horse farms all over the country that have fallen on hard times and are having problems GIVING away horses that are in good condition before they get to this point.
This story has hardly been explained to us yet. How do you know that these people were not trying to find homes for them? Once they began to look bad, no one would take them as they would likely have the authorities in on them and the horses would have continued to go down hill in the meantime. Do you have room at your house for a horse? It's not like finding a home for a kitten, and if this family was prospering and then they found themselves unemployed due to this economy, that is hardly something they can control.
How fortunate for you that you are obviously the only person in this world that has never fallen on hard times. We stand in awe of your greatness.
