I had the most success with Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum's book "From Fatigued to Fantastic". He is a doctor who got the illness and has devoted his career to treating CFS. In the book he lists helpful supplements. His line of products are "Enzymatic Therapy". They are now available locally in Lovey's and his probiotics are in Wal-Mart.
In the past I had to order on-line or get them in Charlotte. I went to his web-site and found a doctor in Charlotte (Dr. George L. Gaunt)who had Teitelbaum's advanced training. If you start supplementation you have to continually be monitored so you do not overdose. Insurance doesn't typically pay for the treatments either so it gets expensive. Other states cover it but North Carolina (my blue cross) cut out most coverage.
There is another doctor Charles Lapp (I think) is his name. He has a practice in Charlotte as well. No one I have found so far near by. I am planning to see a doctor in Greenville, Dr. Edward Treadwell who is Professor of Medicine in Rheumatology and Immunology at the Brody School of Medicine. He teaches and has a fibromyalgia clinic. I do not know yet if he will be any help. Still waiting on my doctor to make the referral...
