I never was a big fan of seatbelts, but having worked in auto body shops for many years, I have seen enough "head holes" in windshields to make a believer out of most anyone. One particular car I worked on somewhat convinced me that seatbelts are a pretty good idea. I have been wearing mine long before they were required by law.
