Carolina Beach has seen an increase in visitors, but instead of two legs, they've got tentacles. Jellyfish are washing up along the shores of Carolina Beach in large numbers. Ocean rescue reported at least thirty have lined the coast in the past two days. Even after they've washed up on shore, the gelatinous sea creature can still get you. “If you see a jelly fish in the water or up on the beach strand, don't touch them. Just let a lifeguard know or a police officer and we can get them up off the beach and dispose of them properly. They can still sting you dead or alive,” said Stephen Baize of Carolina Beach Ocean Rescue. Lifeguards say jellies follow the current of the ocean, and its been taking them on to the shore. Despite the large number washing up, there have only been about a dozen stings in the last few days.
