This article is extremely biased and just flat ridiculous. If the government is so terrible at running things, don't accept your Medicare, Medicaid benefits, and don't accept your Social Security benefits. There are millions of seniors who get social security every month that wouldn't have saved when they were younger, yeah, the government is a big scary thing that takes your money and leaves you with nothing, except roads, schools, clean drinking water, police, fire, yadda yadda, the list goes on. If you think the government is so inefficient try to find the person who murders your mother by yourself next time instead of calling the city government-run police, or maybe try to put out the fire that is burning down your house yourself instead of the Socialist Fire Department. Public health care would not be putting a bureaucrat between you and your doctor, it would be taking away the cold unfeeling insurance company out from between you and your doctor. Health care for profit will always care more about money than your health. Also, if you had ever read the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence you would know that you are the government. So if the government is doing a bad job, it means it's your fault.
